The Naked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear

I think we might as well just watch all three of these now.

This one is still funny but less so than the first. Mostly because it moves at a slower pace and seems less willing to overstuff itself with jokes. That’s fair enough but we’re not here for the plot, are we?

It probably wasn’t a conscious choice when they made the film. It’s just that I am watching these within days of each other and it stands out more.

The best jokes in this second film are as funny as the best ones in the first, and that probably does count for something.
