Harold and Maude
“I haven’t lived. I’ve died a few times.”
A young man obsessed with death (Bud Cort) meets an old lady in love with life (Ruth Gordon).
Manic Pixie Dream Gran meets a young Wes Anderson. Fun but eccentric to a fault. There’s only so much Harold or Maude one can take.
Fortunately at 90 minutes that’s only just too much; by and large this is a sweet and gently humoured offbeat comedy. One to watch and completely love/loathe.
