The Nice Guys
“You know who else was just following orders? Adolf Hitler.”
I liked this quite a lot more on second viewing. Shane Black’s own brand of hard-boiled noir crossed with comedy is perfect for this screenplay. It’s hilarious but the plot never plays second fiddle to the jokes and ultimately this contributes to the re-watch-a-bility.
The Nice Guys has all the makings of a timeless classic.
