Special Correspondents
I reckon we can pull this off.

A radio correspondent (Eric Bana) and his technician (Ricky Gervais) lose their passports, so decide to stage a report from ‘Ecuador’ while actually being above a bar in New York.
The phrase “If you don’t have anything good to say, don’t say anything” comes to mind. I’ll break the rule here, but I’ll keep it short since there are no redeeming features to Special Correspondents. The writing is first-draft level stuff, the characters are paper thin and the story is so contrived it actually makes you a bit angry. At no point is it funny or witty.
There are hints of satire, with gentle prods at the gullibility of the media and the public in general, but nothing ever really hits home.
A real stinker from Gervais.
