Blackbird

Someone just turned me on to the wonderful ‘Blackbird’, an online poetry and prose magazine.

It’s a true magazine, that is to say, it can be browsed as a single ‘issue’. However it takes full benefit of what’s possible on the internet, cross referencing, linking back to old issues, compiling author indexes and posting images and videos.

The design may look dated but it’s easy to read and focuses on quality content.

Most relevant to this site perhaps is this great feature² on 1914 women in film.

Well worth a look.
